| "Hello, and welcome to Sandcastle Music." Jim and Veronica are sincerely thankful, and honored, to have you visit. Jim, also known by the nickname that his musician friends call him, "Key" has been a button and piano accordion player as well as a piano and keyboard player since he was five years old. Jim and Veronica live in an old Victorian house in Southern Minnesota. Jim is a member of ASCAP (The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers) as a composer and songwriter, and he's been a professional musician for many years. Jim learned most of his accordion techniques and styles from Myron Floren, of the Lawrence Welk Show, and also from Larry Malmberg, the original accordionist for the Whoopie John Band. Jim was also educated by the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, and Northwestern College. Jim also composes original melodies for Music Boxes, as well as original Polyphon style music that was very popular during the Victorian Era in the 1800's.
Veronica, was born and raised in Mitchell, South Dakota, the home of the world famous Corn Palace. Veronica is the owner of Sandcastle Music Box, an ASCAP affiliated record producer and publisher. Veronica records and produces all of Jim's music. In addition, Veronica is Jim's manager for his live performances.
